Is this thing on?

Breathing a little life back into our family blog. I have gotten so away from chronicling our happenings and that's just not ok anymore. The purpose of this blog was a way to keep our family and friends connected to us and what was going on in our lives. And a place for me to share pictures and thoughts and to just write. Something I enjoyed so much. I feel like I have myself just a tad overextended these days and something had to give. Well tonight that ends. I hope anyone still reading this blog holds me accountable! I read back through the entire thing about a week or so ago and its such a fun documentation of the kids growth. And now there are huge gaps between posts. Lost time. Time I cannot go back and blog because the moments have passed. Oh sure big things I can remember, but I enjoyed the little things just as much! And now I am saddened to have not documented those little things. *sigh*

So tonight I will leave you with a couple of cute and recent "Garrettisms"

Garrett to me as I am washing the dishes: Momma, can I have a penny?
Me: Not right now you need to be patient
Garrett: But I don't want to be patient. I JUST want to WAIT. (How do you respond to that? I stifled my laugh and then managed a... "ok then you just wait". But I think he thought he got his way. oh well.)


Garrett: Momma, is Santa a grownup
Me: Yes he is
Garrett: Then why do you say "Santa BABY hurry down the chimney tonight?"
(He did raise a good point lol)

Garrett: Momma I don't want you to give Avery anymore food or drinks
Me: Why not?
Garrett: Because I don't want her to grow up anymore. I just want her to stay small like a baby.
(Awwwwww...)
