So yes, Avery is 7 months old. She is almost 8 months now... Why is she bound and determined to grow so fast? She has had quite a month of firsts! First trip to the ER (brother poked her in the eye), First time with the stomach flu, First trip to California, First time flying on an airplane, First time meeting Uncle Gabe- Gabe and Uncle Nate and Great Grandma Jo, First time riding on a horse, First tooth popping through, First time eating a teething biscuit, First tastes of Avacado, and first time with pneumonia! But another couple of firsts that I am so excited about is that Avery is now waving "Hi" and "Bye- bye". She did this the first time to my Uncle Gus. It is the most precious thing and melts our hearts everytime! She charms everyone with that new trick! She is also giving kisses!!! And she shares the sugar with those! (love me some slobbery kisses!) She is 18 lbs 6 1/2 oz. I suspect she would weigh slightly more than that but she has had the stomach bug and pneumonia so she wasnt able to hold much down for a while and then she hasn't really had an appetite for anything besides milk. But she did eat an entire jar of sweet potatoes yesterday so she is definitely getting back to her old self. So far she has been a 100% organically fed baby. Something that I felt was important to strive for as long as I can. (It is hard to do that down here in the south though) I am trying to get motivated to make as much of her babyfood as I can. However she is quite the texture phobe and gags and shutters a lot! She loves to be outside exploring the great big world (and eating grass blech!). She loves water. Two things that she is exactly like Garrett with. She loves to splash in water, or drink it. (that made the fishbowl pics so easy to take. Oh and dont you worry! No fishies were harmed in the making of that portrait. I photoshopped the goldfish in there after the fact!)
Even through her being sick she is still just as smiley as can be! We continue to be so blessed with such an amazingly happy baby and such a fantastic big brother! Life continues to be so sweet! And we owe it all to the big guy upstairs!
