2 weeks old already!

2 week portraits

( some are not the best photographically speaking, but I think my subject is awfully cute! What can I say? I am a work in progress!)

And another week flies by! Today Avery turned 2 weeks old and had her very first well baby visit with the pediatrician. She checks out great! She has exceeded her birth weight and has gained over a pound since we were discharged from the hospital. She now weighs 7lb 4 oz and is 19 1/2 inches. Although we might dispute her height because the guy measuring her did not stretch her out. By our measurements that we took this past weekend she was 20 1/4 inches. But anyways she is in the 25th percentile for height and 20th percentile for weight on both regular baby and preterm baby growth charts. (Which apparently is a good thing that they are not drastically different) She has been awake a lot more the past couple of days. We have seen her eyes a lot and she loves to gaze at our faces. I think its LOVE! She also has been doing some big open mouth grins at us and is already trying to coo at us. Now that I know IS LOVE!

Yesterday we took our first real outing to the Milton 4th of July festival on the riverwalk. It was really nice (aside from the rain) and we actually ran into the Owen's while we were down there! Afterward we went to Reggies for dinner and then we went for a drive down to the bay so Garrett and Daddy could show Mommy and Avery the crabs they saw the other day. It just so happened that there was a family doing fireworks down there and they gave Garrett sparklers. He was in heaven! Then we came back and watched fireworks out front with our neighbors for a while. I had to bring little miss in before the boys came in because the mosquito's were about to carry us away! Anyways I have lots of pictures from the last few days so enjoy!
