Garrett's Duck for the kids race. Its the little green one dressed as a sailor.

Classic Ducks, Take your marks...

And they're off!

Garrett's duck in second...
Garrett's duck in first...Every year on Mother's Day my hometown has a Rubber Ducky Race to raise money for the village society. It is usually a very fun day. They started this tradition when I was 11 or 12. So its been like 13 or 14 years of races. The first year my duck came in 3rd and I won a huge bag of jelly bellies. Now there is monetary prizes and they run 3 seperate races. Classic duck, Kids, and Original duck. Now a duck can be anything you interpret it to be so long as it stays within racing guidelines. (See, this is serious stuff. We don't mess around in Westport) So in the pictures you will see your typical rubber ducks as well as everything from waterbottles to vegetables made into ducks.
In the First race (classic duck) Garrett's duck was in the top three the entire race up unil the VERY LAST turn in the creek where he got caught up in a little whirlpool and ended up at the back of the pack. Grammie caught it all on camera.
